  • B500CWR/B400DWR
    • B – Bar for Reinforcing Concrete
    • 400 or 500 – minimum yield strength 400 or 500 in MPa.
    • C or D – Ductility Class “C” or “D”
    • W – Weldable
    • R – Ribbed bar

  • Minimum Yield Strength for B500CWR is 500MPa.
  • For B400DWR is 400 MPa.  UTS/YS ratio minimum for “C” is 1.15 and “D” is 1.25.

Rib Properties

  • 2 types of Ribs
    • Transverse.
    • Longitudinal.
  • Ribbed bars shall have transverse ribs.
  • Longitudinal ribs may be present or not.
  • The transverse ribs within each row are distributed uniformly
